 Helping You Dig Your Yard

# About Yardtopia Designs

Yardtopia Designs was born to help homeowners land a yard they love, at a price they can afford, through a fun and comfortable process. We want you to "dig your yard," figuratively, and literally if you so choose.

Most homeowners are faced with limited options ... They can hire a full service landscaping company, if it's within budget, and receive only drawings of circles and squares for the design process. Or, they can do it all themselves, which can be daunting and potentially unsuccessful without knowledge of planting "zones," light conditions, etc.

Yardtopia Designs introduces another option: customized landscape design services to meet your budget and desired level of effort. We take the mystery out of landscaping by offering transparent pricing, photo mockups, local advice and  a detailed plans. We specialize in garden design, lean toward ecologically friendly plants, and consider functional needs.

We're also honest about our own limitations. We are not architecturally trained and lack expertise to solve irrigation or grading challenges. So if you're looking to re-level the slope of your yard or build an elaborate outdoor kitchen, then we're not the best fit for you.

## About Debbie Farese

Debbie comes from generations of passionate gardeners and grew up in the Boston area helping her mother tend to her vegetable garden and taking home cut flowers from her grandmother's yard. After spending her early adulthood in urban apartments, the gardening bug bit her full-on when she moved to Nashville in 2017 and bought her first home with her husband Julio.

Like many homeowners who move to a new area, Debbie had limited knowledge of the planting conditions and how to plan a yard. She dove in head first; yard work quickly became her passion and she spent most of her free time  studying horticulture and experimenting in the dirt.

Debbie worked in corporate environments for twenty years, specializing in finance and then marketing at Microsoft, HubSpot, Ernst & Young, and Vanderbilt. She's excited to now combine her business and gardening knowledge to bring Yardtopia Designs to homeowners who are ready to dig their yard.
